All existing options available to help children attend their Hearings should remain in place, and new options should be made available.

All existing options available to help children attend, participate and engage with their Hearings should remain in place.
New options should also be made available, as suggested by:
- emerging research,
- evidence,
- shared learning from other tribunals, and
- shared learning from ongoing improvement work.
Mechanisms for understanding Hearings when a child doesn’t attend
If a child does not wish to attend their Hearing, there must be clear mechanisms in place to:
- help the child understand what was discussed at the Hearing, and
- help the child understand what decisions were made.
