Legislation towards expanded routes to the Reporter
The Children (Care and Justice) (Scotland) Bill must expand routes to the Reporter for children and young people who are convicted at Court.
Duty bearers: Scottish Government
Part of: Recommendations
All children and young people up to 18 who are convicted at Court should have the opportunity of either:
- a remit to the Children’s Hearing, or
- a request for the advice of the Children’s Hearing by the Court — an Advice Hearing.
This must be in accordance with the terms of the Children (Care and Justice) (Scotland) Bill.
