The Promise Scotland has the following job opportunities:
The Promise is built on what 5,500 babies, infants, children, young people, families and adults with experience of the ‘care system’, as well as the paid and unpaid workforce, told the Independent Care Review about their experiences and what mattered to them. These voices were heard, and the stories they told are now the foundations of Scotland’s plan for change, the detail of which can be found in ‘Plan 21-24’ and ‘Change Programme ONE’.
The Promise Scotland exists to ensure ‘the promise’ of change that was made is kept, and every child can "grow up loved, safe and respected so that we realise our full potential".
Scotland’s commitment to #KeepThePromise is to build a country that cares, made up of services that work to meet the needs of children and families and that stand ready to be accessed where they are needed, when they are needed.
Established in April this year, The Promise Scotland will work with all those in and around the ‘care system’ to ensure that happens. A key part of this is the creation of four new roles:
The Promise Scotland will guarantee an interview to all applicants who meet the job purpose essential criteria and have lived care experience of the ‘care system’ or a disability who meet the job purpose essential criteria.
