New resources to help overcome barriers in information sharing
Four new guides have been published today to help people working in Scotland’s public sector to overcome barriers to sharing information on care experienced children and young people.
The Infoshare project, led by Data for Children Collaborative, in collaboration with The Promise Scotland, of Datavant, Urban Foresight, Mydex CIC and Dr Yang Lu, from Loughborough University, has produced the tools to help create change across Scotland.
The guides are for senior leaders and mangers; regulation and policy teams; frontline workers and data protection specialists, to support:
- Appropriate information sharing
- Use of the existing tools and resources
- Organisational culture change
- Empowerment of children and young people
As well as the guides there are also nine additional outputs created during the project. These include:
- Research into workforce training for data sharing
- A review of what good data sharing looks like
- Delivering data protection impact assessments
The resources are available to download on sharing site Zenodo, and can all be accessed through our website below.
