Supporting Local Areas

We provide support to local areas in their work to keep the promise through our Promise Delivery Partners (PDPs).

This primarily happens through Regional Promise Networks— which are facilitated by our local area link PDPs.

Regional Promise Networks

The promise will only be kept if all organisations and groups with a role to play are engaging with each other. To help this happen there are five regional promise networks, covering all 32 local authority areas: 

• Central West
• Northern
• Central East
• Central & North East
• South

The table below shows which areas are in each of the five networks, and the local area link PDP for each area.

The networks meet every six weeks to:

• Connect and collaborate
• Share learning and amplify good practice
• Identify and address common challenges
• Bridge the gap between strategic and operational
• Escalate themes that require national attention.

The core membership of the networks are promise leads in local authorities, but to work effectively across local areas, the networks will look to include other organisations. The work of the networks will ensure that local insights shape national strategy.

Individual Support

Individual support to local authority areas aims to understand progress and offer tailored support or signposting.

Engagement between Promise Delivery Partners and promise leads in local authorities will help to capture insights, and to ensure connection to strategic work and learning collaboratives.
